I am offering Yamuna Body Rolling (YBR) sessions in Aspen at Heaven on Earth and online because I want to give you a new way to stretch, create health and wellness that will allow you to maintain your optimal health long-term.
After your massage your pain and tension are lowered, but I also understand that your pain may often eventually return because the actual issue (lack of space, poor posture, body not in alignment, etc.) hasn’t been resolved. YBR gives you the independence and ability to help yourself with these issues, which in turn allows you to live a full and healthy life.
I have been rolling myself since I found it in San Francisco five years ago. It really allows me to feel better after long days at the spa and has diminished my own chronic lower back pain. I loved it so much that I wanted to get certified to bring it back to Aspen for you. I am very excited to be the first instructor to offer Yamuna Body Rolling in Aspen, CO.
What is it?
Following a series of routines, Yamuna Body Rolling uses balls of various sizes and firmness to stretch and elongate the muscles while getting into every nook and cranny of your body. Sinking into the ball, you use your own body weight and synchronized breathing to release tension.
YBR both prevents injury and promotes healing. By giving you the ability to strengthen and realign your own body, YBR allows you to restore your body back to its natural balance.
Who is it for?
Anyone can benefit from Yamuna Body Rolling because it is customized to each person and what their body needs. Whether you are the Aspen Type A Fitness Warrior, work in a chair all day or stand at your job, YBR will allow you to feel better in your body. If you suffer from fibromyalgia or osteoporosis, you can use a softer, larger ball to diminish pain and realign the body. If you are an intense athlete, you can use a smaller ball to really iron out the kinks in your muscles. There are so many different therapeutic benefits from Yamuna body rolling that anyone could get from the exercise.

Be sure to wear fitted clothing that allows freedom of movement. Loose clothing can bunch up or get stuck while thick fabric can keep you from getting the full benefits from your session.

Recently I had the wonderful opportunity to experience an introduction to Yamuna Body Rolling with Pila. I had never heard of Yamuna but was excited to learn about and reap its mind and body benefits through ball rolling and focused breathing. Pila is an excellent instructor and her patient intro helped me to explore self massage and the release of tension and inflammation that I can carry in my body following flying or more cardio intensive exercise. As a person who suffers from Rheumatoid Arthritis, I found these ball rolling exercises to enable me to control just how much pressure I wanted to apply to stretch and lengthen all parts of my body to bring about a deeper relaxation and recovery, literally from head to toe! Pila is a wonderful and passionate instructor to work with and I suggest a one on one class or to bring a friend to enjoy the benefits of her focused and attentive instruction.
It was extremely helpful to have Pila make adjustments as I worked my way through these body alignment exercises with different size inflatable balls. I literally could feel and see a lengthening of my body following each session! Yamuna is a great way to relax while especially traveling because you can pack up a few small deflated balls to tuck into your carry on or stowed luggage with a small pump and quickly inflate to customize the pressure to get rolling!
